POLITICAL BIOGRAPHY

Maryland Delegate, Marvin E. Holmes Jr. has served in the Maryland General Assembly House of Delegates since 2003. As a Member of the Environment & Transportation Committee, he chairs the Housing and Real Property Subcommittee, and is a Member of the Natural Resources and Land Use & Ethics Subcommittees. He is Vice-Chair of the House Emergency Medical Services Work Group that continues to review the structure and funding of the statewide emergency medical services systems, Chair of the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics, and past Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. Delegate Holmes is a decorated veteran serving in the Presidential Honor Guard, and as a Search and Rescue Air Crewman. He is an active member of the Veterans Caucus, Maryland Legislative Black Caucus, Prince George’s House Delegation, and the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review.

Delegate Marvin E. Homles Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Marvin now lives in the state which he proudly serves, Maryland. Some of his accomplishments that have prepared him to serve Maryland include:
